HOW TO ADD QUESTIONS TO QUIZARD'S MT.
=====================================
The very first thing you should do is edit the CATEGORY.DAT file and add your
new filename/Category to the list. For example:
GENERAL.DAT/General Topics
GENERAL.DAT is the actual filename on the disk. General Topics is the Category
name that will appear on the menu. Make sure the forward slash separates the
two!
Method 1:
---------
Use any text editor or word processor that is capable of saving in ASCII
format. The format is 50 characters for the question and 30 characters for
the answer (the answer portion MUST start on column 51!). After you are
finished entering your new questions and answers, run QUTIL.EXE and select 'Q'
from the first menu then select 'I' from the next menu. You are then prompted
for the ASCII filename to convert. This option will convert your ASCII file
into the format usable by Quizard's.
Method 2:
---------
Assuming you have entered your new Category in the CATEGORY.DAT file, run
QUTIL and select 'Q' from the first menu and 'Q' from the next menu. You will
see a menu of the Categories you have entered in CATEGORY.DAT, including the
new one you just entered. Select your new Category. You may now type in your
questions and answers. Use the TAB key to move from field to field.
NOTE: You can ignore the 'Convert Existing Database' option. That was used in
very early versions and no longer has any use.
